Ireland’s Coimisiún na Meán has initiated formal probes into TikTok and LinkedIn, marking the first enforcement actions under the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA). The investigations focus on potential flaws in the platforms’ content reporting mechanisms, specifically whether they meet accessibility, usability, and anonymity requirements.

The MOVE follows a similar investigation into Elon Musk’s X last month. Violations could result in fines up to 6% of global annual revenue, underscoring the EU’s tightening grip on tech governance. National regulators now share enforcement duties with the European Commission for platforms headquartered in their jurisdictions.
